Sandra Sue Blue Faces Kiss You All Over in Rich Lassie Final on Friday Night

VINTON, LA—MAY 23, 2013—Restricted Grade 2 winner Sandra Sue Blue will face fastest qualifier Kiss You All Over Friday night in the $246,142 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity at Delta Downs.

The state-bred futurity for two-year-old fillies will be contested over 330 yards as the 9th race on Friday's 10 race Delta card. First post at 6:45 p.m. (CDT) with the futurity gate expected to pop at 10:05 p.m. All Delta Downs races can been seen online at Q-racingVideo.com.

Coming off back-to-back wins Sandra Sue Blue comes in to race as the second richest American Quarter two-year-old filly of 2013. Jose Garcia will saddle the daughter of champion and grade 1 sire Jess Louisiana Blue for owner K K Horse Racing.

Sandra Sue Blue is two-for-three under jockey Eddie Martinez with earnings of $136,648 after winning the $282,000 Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) on March 16. She posted the fourth fastest qualifying time in the May 3 Lassie trials with a neck victory over Scooter Prize (6-1). She has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite.

Very impressive in her last start was Kiss You All Over (3-1) who is hoping to bounce off a one-length trial victory and the top qualifying mark of :16.793 seconds. She was one of five finalists sired by first crop sire Fast Prize Dash.

The brown filly is a homebred for Wade and Kay Loup, Jr. Vann Haywood trains with Bobby Ransom riding. In her only other start, a maiden race at Louisiana Downs on March 20, she was a well placed second.

Kenneth Roberts, Sr. will saddle Dashing Jet Rio (5-1) for Douglas Traylor. The daughter of Jet Black Patriot was most impressive in the trials when she won her first career start by 1-½ lengths to get the second fastest qualifying time of :16.793.

Trainer Kevin Broussard will saddle another homebred for the Loup's, Wow What A Prize (8-1), racing in the name of Wacky Racing, LLC. A finalist in the $282,000 Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) earlier this year, the Fast Prize Dash filly won her trial by 1-¼ lengths under jockey Donald Watson. She posted the third fastest time of :16.878.
