Strong Trial Highlights Six Heats To John Deere Ruidoso Juvenile Challenge

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 15, 2012—A strong fourth division with Four Corners Futurity winner Fast N Furious B and Remington Park Juvenile runner-up Llano Cartel highlights the six 350-yard trials to the John Deere Ruidoso Downs Juvenile Challenge on Friday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

The trials precedes Rainbow weekend at Ruidoso Downs. The Grade 1, $903,000 Rainbow Derby featuring champions Ochoa and Feature Mr Bojangles is on Saturday afternoon. The Grade 1, $600,000 Rainbow Futurity features fastest-qualifier Jesastar facing a promising group of improving two-year-olds.

First post time is 1 p.m. with the John Deere New Mexico Juvenile Challenge trials running as the first six races.

In the fourth trial, Fast N Furious B and Llano Cartel start next to each other in the eighth and seventh post positions.

Kathy Pruitt Germany’s Fast N Furious B has won each of his two starts for trainer John Stinebaugh. The First N Kool gelding showed his gameness in the Four Corners Futurity, his latest race, when he prevailed by a head as the 7-5 favorite.

Wootan Racing’s homebred Llano Cartel, a gelding by Teller Cartel, has already made five starts for trainer Heath Reed and his best effort was a second-place finish in the $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile back on April 14.
