GRAND PRARIE, AB—SEPTEMBER 7, 2017—Bothered at the start, Jd Wagon Boss put in a huge effort to keep his perfect record in-tact by winning the $24,120(US) John Deere Evergreen Juvenile Challenge August 20 at Grand Prairie.

Ridden by jockey Jose Rocha, Jd Wagon Boss completed the 350 yards in a quick :17.728 clocking, into a 30-mph crosswind, to earn a 103-speed index. The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon has compiled a perfect 3-for-3 record and the $11,577(US) winners' purse boosted his career earnings to $14,855.

The August 20th win for the Buckey and Beverly Stockwell's Oklahoma-bred colt also included earning a starting spot in the $130,000 Guaranteed John Deere Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2) October 14th at Prairie Meadows, on the Bank of America Challenge Championship night.

Trained by Buckey Stockwell, Jd Wagon Boss is out of the Fishers Dash mare Elly Mae. Bred by Jean Dillard, Jd Wagon Boss' second dam is the world champion daughter of On A High, See Me Do It.

See Me Do It won 17 of 24 starts and earning $913,464. Among her many wins were the Grade 1 Champion of Champions, All American Derby(G1), Rainbow Derby(G1), etc.

Runner-up Stole An Encore races for owners Ralph Danard and Carrie Suitor. Laurie Ferguson trains the daughter of multiple stakes sire Ivory James from the Rare Form mare Rare Encore. J.B. Botello was aboard the Vaugh and Jill Cook Oklahoma-bred. She earned $4,945(US).

Knotty Knita, a daughter of leading Canadian sire First Timber, finished three-quarters back in third-place for owner-breeder and trainer Wesley Oulton. Cesar Cervantes rode the sorrel filly out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Ima Jess A Streaker. She picked up $2,412(US) for the effort.

Queen Angel, Bs Playing For Keeps, Kr Temptrus, First Prize Cruise and Stripsteak completed the field.
