Sign Of Corona got his second straight stakes win Friday with a victory in the Eastern Idaho State Fair Bonus Challenge in Black Foot.

BLACK FOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 5, 2014—Despite lugging out Sign Of Corona, the 5-2 morning-line favorite, scored his second consecutive stakes win Friday when he posted a three-quarter length victory over Boque in the $17,550 Eastern Idaho State Fair Bonus Challenge in Black Foot. Tw Gunslinger finished a neck back in the show position.

Coming off a victory in the Adequan Les Bois Park Derby Challenge on July 26, Sign Of Corona pocketed the $8,424 winner's purse to boost his earnings total to $37,574. Ridden by jockey Dirk Crane, the bay son of Coronas Fast Dash completed the 400 yard course in :19.620 seconds, to earn a 111 speed index. It was his first start against older company.

Mark Hanson conditions the New Mexico-bred, out of Electric Sign by Vital Sign, for RTM Stables, LLC and Carol McKinney. His next start could be the $200,000-Guaratneed Adequan Derby Challenge Championship(G3) at Prairie Meadows on October 18.

Four-year-old Boque earned $3,598 for David Waddell and trainer Gary Simpson. Never Marin rode the Brimmerton 4-year-old in his second place effort. Bobby D. Cox bred the $40,662 stakes winner in Texas from the Imtoocool (TB) mare Cool N Sixy (TB).

Dallas Erickson was aboard the homebred Tw Gunslinger for owner/breeder Denny Whitaker and trainer David Newbold. The Jesse James Jr 4-year-old is out of Bac N The Saddle, by Splash Bac. Bred in Idaho, he earned $1,755 for the effort. Also a stakes winner, Tw Gunslinger has won four races and earned $14,697.

Snow Panther, Sweet American Honey, Streak N Hot, What Corona Runner and Kr Dont Blink completed the field.
