BLACKFOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 4, 2014—Sign Of Corona, the 5-2 morning-line favorite, drew the rail post for Friday’s 400-yard, $17,550 Eastern Idaho State Fair-AQHA Bonus Challenge Stakes.

Trained by Mark Hanson for owners RTM Stables and Carol McKinney, Sign Of Corona is coming off of a convincing 1 1/2-length victory in the 400-yard, $36,000 Adequan Les Bois Derby Challenge on July 26. The gelded son of Coronas Fast Dash has earned $29,150 from six outs, and his three career wins include a neck score in last year’s $26,000 Rocky Mountain Classic Futurity at Pocatello Downs.

Dirk Crane has been named to ride Sign Of Corona in the Bonus Challenge. The gelding’s seven opponents include Gerald Kaul’s Sweet American Honey, a homebred 4-year-old gelding by Midnight Corona trained by Travis Lusk. Sweet American Honey ships in from Wyoming Downs, where in his most recent start he scored a 1 1/2-length win in the 870-yard, $15,000 AQHA Wyoming Downs Bonus Challenge Stakes on August 3
