SOUTH JORDAN, UT—JUNE 21, 2014-Hes A Starwfly fought Gallant Mystic to a nose win in the $12,000 Bank of America / A&C Racing Bonus Challenge Friday afternoon at Laurel Brown Race Track.

Ridden by Oscar Cervantes, Hes A Strawfly completed the 350 yards in :17.674 seconds to take the winner's purse of $5,040. Alvaro Torres saddled the Strawfly Special gelding for Rosalio Torres. Muller Racing bred the chestnut 9-year-old in California from the Rare Form mare Nancys True Love. With a record of (54) 10-4-14, Hes A Strawfly has earned over $75,000.

Gallant Mystic picked up the second place check of $3,000 for owner Moonshine Racing. Stan Young conditions the Separatist gelding out of The Creole Queen, by First Down Dash. Julianna Hawn Holt bred the earner of ore than $66,000 in Texas. Never Marin had the riding call.

Blue Piranha finished a nose off the leaders in the show position for owner E. Esconbedo and Sam Christensen. Also trained by Christensen, the Fishers Dash 8-year-old picked up $1,800 to roll his earnings to nearly $135,000. Martha Wells bred Blue Piranha in California from the Chicks Beduino mare My Blueberry Chick. Jose Torres was up.

Completing the field were El T Rex, Gitana Azteca, Hm Tresaces, Jr. Czech Swing, Jayspowerstorke, Tooproudtostreak.
