Follys Fast and jockey David Reyes-Frisby return after posting the fastest qualifying time Saturday afternoon for the Bank of America Emerald Challenge Championship at Emerald Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Pacific Northwest racetrack on September 2 and vie for the winner's share of a $60,000-added purse and an invite to participate in the $300,000-Guaranteed Grade 1 Bank of America Challenge Championship on October 27 at Prairie Meadows.

Also trained by Mendoza, the 4-year-old gelding completed the 440 yard task in :22.094 seconds to record the top qualifying time. It was Follys Fasts third win in 15 career starts and pushed his earnings record to $25,669. Two of those wins have come this season as he stepped up from a second place claiming effort in last start at Arapahoe Park on July 29.

David Reyes-Frisby rides the Burnett Ranches, Ltd. bred Separatist gelding from the Mr Jess Perry mare Sixes Folly.

Juvencio Gallegos-Reymundo's Givemesumcorona also stepped out of the claiming ranks to win the first trial and post the second fastest time of :22.114. It was also the first win in 11 starts for the Stel Corona gelding who was making his first start outside of Los Alamitos Race Course.

Dayson Lavanway saddled the 3-year-old who paid a whopping $38.60 for the win. Leonel Camacho-Flores rode the gelding out of the First Down Dash mare Sumclassndash. The Blane Schvanevedt Estate is the breeder.
