G2-Placed Quemados Version To Stand 2018 Season in New Mexico

SUNLAND PARK, NM-JANUARY 21, 2018-Quemados Version, SI 95 a grade 2-placed son of multiple stakes sire Winners Version, will stand his first season at Frontera Training Center near Sunland Park, New Mexico. His fee has been set at $1,500 with special consideration to stakes winners and stakes producing mares.

Quemados Version won or placed in 10 races and earned $117,370. He finished third in the restricted Grade 2 Zia Derby at Ruidoso Downs. He was a finalist in the Mountain Top Futurity (RG3), New Mexico Classic Futurity (RG2), New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2), New Mexico HBA Stakes (RG2), James Isaac Hobbs Stakes (G2)-twice and Sam Houston Classic Stakes (G2).

His sire ,Winners Version SI 103, is a grade 3 winner of $399,057. A leading sire in New Mexico, the son of Holland Ease has sired six crops to race, 18 stakes winners, 100 winners with earnings of $3.2 million.

Quemados Version is the first of two foals out of the winning Sixes Royal mare A Royal Lead SI 97 ($29,922). The second dam is the stakes winning and track setting Thoroughbred mare Ifufeelfroggyleap ($102,015), by Musical Dreamer. She set a new track record for four furlongs at Thistledowns in :45.30 seconds.

The third dam is the multiple stakes producing Calender Stack mare Track Ribbit and the fourth dam is the stakes winner Coastal Review ($49,395), by Brazen Brother.
