Multiple Stakes Winner Flare For Ivory to Vista Equine Colorado

FORT COLLINS, CO—NOVEMBER 14, 2017—Flare For Ivory SI 105, a stakes winning track record setting son of multiple stakes sire Ivory James, will begin his stallion career in 2018 at Vista Equine Colorado near Fort Collins.

His fee has been set at $2,000, however breeders can take advantage of an early booking discount to $1,250 by December 31. Stakes mares and multiple bookings will also get considerations.

Owned by Marguerita Melendez and Hugo Barron Sierra, Flare For Ivory won or placed in nine races and earned $91,959. He won the Arapahoe Park Sprint Bonus Challenge, Dash For Speed Handicap and was a finalist in the Heritage Place Derby(G2), West Texas Maturity(G2), Altoona Derby, Ruidoso Juvenile and West Texas Juvenile.

In the Dash For Speed Stakes May 28, 2017 he set a new Arapahoe Park track record by completing 300 yards in :15.432 seconds. In his next race, the Arapahoe Park Sprint Bonus Challenge he broke his own 300 yard track record August 13, 2017 by posting another :15.420 clocking .

His sire Ivory James SI 103, a brother to leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, is a G1-placed winner of $220,026, finishing second in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1). From seven crops to race he has sired 548 ROM, 41 stakes winners, 449 winners of 982 races and earning $13,872,619.
