Grade 3 Lethal Corona to Stand Second Season at Texas Stud

BEEVILLE, TX—OCTOBER 20, 2017—Texas Stud announced today the Grade 3 placed stallion Lethal Corona SI 106 will stand his second season at their facility near Beeville, Texas. His fee will remain $1,500 with deep discounts for stakes mares and stakes producers.

The son of leading sire Corona Cartel is the only stallion at stud from the "blue hen" mare Miss Lethal by Chicks Beduino. His first foals will arrive in 2018.

Owned by Mickey Tiner, Lethal Corona won or placed in 15 of 18 career starts and earned $63,844. He was second in the Dash For Cash Juvenile Invitational at Lone Star Park and third in the Grade 3 Easy Jet Stakes at Remington Park. P.K. Thomas is the breeder.

In his final start, Lethal Corona finished a nose off stakes winner Snipes And Bites, with both horses breaking the Lone Star Park track record for 330 yards. The previous record of :16.484 seconds was set October 12, 2012 by Allure Sr. Lethal Corona recorded at :16.483 for the 330-yard distance.

His sire Corona Cartel is the "leading living sire" of money earners with 160 stakes winners, 7 champions and earnings of more than $56 million. Also, known as a "sire of sires", his leading sons at stud include Pyc Paint Your Wagon, The Louisiana Cartel, Teller Cartel, Ivory James, etc.
