WHEELOCK, TX—AUGUST 11, 2014—Granada Farms announced today that Jess Zoomin, a top-five leading second crop sire this year, will stand the 2015 season at the their breeding farm near Wheelock, Texas. His fee will be $1,500.

From a limited number of starters the son of leading sire Shazoom has sired 22 winners, four stakes-placed with average earnings per starter of $10,300. Jess Zoomin has sired the earners of over $587,000 including these 2014 headliners:

Campaigned by Jess Zoomin Partners, Jess Zoomin won or placed in nine of 10 career starts and earned $461,126. He was second in the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) and Texas Classic Derby(G1) and third in the All American Futurity(G1) and the Championship at Sunland Park(G1).

Jess Zoomin’s full-brother Mr Big, has made headlines as a derby sensation in 2014 with five wins including the Grade 3 Sam Houston Derby, Grade 3 Retama Park Derby, and the recent Adequan Retama Derby Challenge.

Bred by Jerry Windham, he is out of a Mr Jess Perry half-sister to Grade 1 winner Magic Dozen ($289,338), Grade 2 winners Illusive Feature ($64,289), First Place Dash ($64,160), Grade 3 stakes-placed Streakin Sixes ($77,765) and stakes–placed Grade 1 finalist Gone First ($38,770).

As sires, Magic Dozen, First Place Dash and Streakin Sixes have combined progeny earnings nearing $9 million.

His second dam is the champion 2-year-old filly Indigo Illusion ($867,414), winner of the Rainbow Derby(G1), Vessels Maturity(G1), Las Ninas Handicap(G3), Special Effort-Faberge Futurity, etc. The daughter of *Beduino-TB set three track records while racing and has produced 13 ROM runners.
