TRAFALGAR, IN—DECEMBER 10, 2013—Chad Richard's All American Futurity(G1) sire and graded stakes winner Brookstone Bay SI 101 will stand the 2014 season at Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital near Trafalgar, Indiana. His fee has been set at $2,500. Mares booked by February 1, 2014 may breed for $2,000.

The QHRAI has worked closely with Indiana Downs and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission to create an environment that would attract high quality stallions to Indiana, since the racino era began in 2008.

“We have been very fortunate to have attracted several nice stallions from around the country as well as enticing several Indiana residents to purchase solid stallions to bring to our state. When the news that Brookstone Bay was coming to Indiana became official, the level of excitement among breeders and pride within our racing industry was off the charts,” Tom Mosley QHRAI Director of Industry Relations said this week.

“Having an All American producing sire, from the most prolific sire line in Quarter Horse racing history as well as a solid gold bottom side, stand right here in Indiana is very exciting. We would like to think this is in small part due to the outstanding program that is developing in Indiana, and wish you, Mr. Chad Richard and Brookstone Bay, the very best of Luck,” he added.

In five crops to race, the son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash has sired 96 winners, 22 stakes horses, 1 champion, and earners of $4.3 million with average earnings per starter of $18,391.

This is the immediate family of Champion Gotta Get SI 109 ($972,834), Eye For Corona SI 99 ($1,100,121), Sixes Royale SI 101 ($384,977), Down With You SI 102 ($222,052), Tempered Glass SI 101 ($103,777), etc.

“It has always been my goal to promote and improve the Indiana bred / Indiana sired race horse in Indiana. This is why I have tried to stand some of the best bred stallions Indiana has had to offer. This is no more evident with the addition of Brookstone Bay for the 2014 season at Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital,” Dr. Roger Beam, owner said.

Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital also stands Chilled Corona, First Dianastia, Jazz Be First, Kook Quick Kid, Martis Speed Racer, Way Down Town and the Thoroughbred Strong Hope.
