Under jockey Jesse Chavis, Dashing Jet Rio scored her second win in as many starts and picked up the $123,071 winner's purse for owner Douglas O. Traylor. Dashing Jet Rio, who is conditioned by Kenneth L. Roberts, Sr., covered the distance over a fast track in a time of 16.547. The clocking represented a speed index of 96. WA Bruce Susan Karen Darling bred the sorrel filly from the Mr Jess Perry mare Dashing Obsession.

From two crops to race, Jet Black Patriot has sired 43 winners, 6 stakes horses, earnings in excess of $1.14 million with average earnings per starter of more than $9,500.
