BREAUX BRIDGE, LA—MAY 18, 2013—Multiple Grade 1 winner Swingin Jess sired his first stakes winner Saturday when Jr Czech Swing returned to Laurel Brown Racetrack to win the $51,725 Beehive Futurity.

Under jockey Jesus Canales the brown filly held on over a heavy track while recording a time of :15.477 seconds for the 330 yards. Ron Moosman saddled the Nevada homebred for owner's Robert Hosier and Jay Bingham. She earned $18,100 for the effort.

From a limited number of starters, Swingin Jess has sired 20 winners, three stakes horses with earnings of nearly $300,000. His get include the aforementioned Beehive Futurity winner Jr Czech Swing ($18,600), multiple stakes-placed Tahma Hawk Chop ($53,390 to 3), stakes-placed Jess That’s Blazin ($12,575 to 3), Swingin Debut ($25,910 at 2), Jessys Southern Lady ($18,400 at 2), Jess Wild ($16,030), etc.

Owned by Narciso Flores, Swingin Jess won or placed in 12 of 18 career starts while earning $426,653. He was the first three-time Grade 1 winning son of leading sire Mr Jess Perry with wins in the Manor Downs Futurity(G1), Retama Park Futurity(G1) and Dash For Cash Derby(G1). He was also a finalist in the Texas Classic Futurity(G1), Longhorn Futurity(G2), Manor Downs Derby(G2) and Sam Houston Derby(G2).
