GRAVATÁ, PERNAMBUCO, BRZ—MAY 10, 2013—Rancho Horizonte, of Gravatá, Pernambuco in Northeastern Brazil, announced today they have purchased the G2 winner and G2 stakes sire First N Kool from Chad Hart. He will be sent to South America at the end of the month. His fee has been set at private treaty.
"We are excited about the purchase of First N Kool," Luis Alvarez, a spokesman for the buyers said Friday. "He will be going to the northeastern part of Brazil where Quarter Horse horse racing is just now starting to grow. He will be the only million dollar producing stallion standing in the region," he added. Alvarez also indicated that frozen semen to the son of all-time leading sire First Down Dash will be available for purchase in the US.
From five crops to race, First N Kool has sired 51 winners, nine stakes winners and five stakes-placed earners of $1.7 million. Among his get are Sunland Park Winter Derby(G2) winner Kool Angel SI 101 (6 wins to 4, $146,736), Kindergarten Futurity(G1) runner-up Kool Cowboy SI 96 (5 wins to 4, $109,695), TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG2) winner A Game Dame SI 111(6 wins to 3, $106), Great Lakes Stakes winner Kool Hand Dutch SI 105 (4 wins to 5, $100,98), etc.

The 13-year-old stallion was also a finalist in the Sunland Fall QH Futurity(G2), Sam Houston Classic(G2), TQHA Stakes and Mr Jess Moore Handicap. He was bred in California by Vessels Stallion Farm, LLC.
His dam is the three-time champion daughter of Gone To The Man, Kool Kue Baby SI 118, winner of 34 races, $783,519 including the AQHA Challenge Championship(G1)-twice, AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship(G1), Sam Houston Classic(G1), etc. She is the dam of 15 ROM including Grade 2 winner and a full sibling to First N Kool, First Kool Baby SI 105 ($158,261), winner of the Manor Downs Derby, etc.; Grade 3 winner Separatist Baby SI 102 ($86,691); Grade 3 winner Little Kool Barbie ($75,238); etc. She is also the granddam of two-time Sam Houston Championship Challenge(G1) winner Kool Country Man SI 105 ($210,552 to 5, 2013), stakes winner Little Eye Opener SI 110 ($33,402), etc.
The second dam, Kool Kue by Some Kinda Man, is the dam of nine ROM, including Grade 1 winner Gone Kool Man SI 109 ($493,683) and stakes winner Kool It Yawl SI 99. She is the granddam or great-greatdam of Canadian Champion One Kool Wave ($275,726), Canadian Champion First Kool Money SI 105 ($193,267), All American Juvenile winner Kool Cade ($198,432), Las Damas Handicap(G2) winner Hawk Kue Pie ($75,905), etc.
