RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—APRIL 30, 2013—Entries for the 2013 Ruidoso Select Yearling and Broodmare Sale are due Wednesday, May 1. The annual sale will be held August 30 thru September 1 at the Ruidoso Horse Sale Pavilion in Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico.

Last year's sale saw 324 yearlings gross $15,190,800, a $46,855 per head average. Carol On My Mind was the high-selling filly for $520,000 and Wide Open Heart was the high-selling colt for $500,000.

Another 2012 top-ten sale graduate, Coronado Cartel won the $720,000 Remington Park Futurity on April 20. The $290,000 seller has earned $309,428 with a perfect 3-for-3 record. He is expected to make his next start in one or more of the rich Ruidoso Triple Crown races this summer.
