Zoomin Jazz Impresses in Harrah's Entertainment Futurity Trials

BOOSIER CITY, LA—MARCH 6, 2010—Zoomin Jazz, a $12,500 Heritage Place Sale September sale yearling scored a 2 ¼ length trial victory on Saturday to set the fastest qualifying time for the $267,700 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity(G3) at Louisiana Downs.

The ten fastest qualifiers will return on March 20th to contest the grade 3 final.

Three Times Even (#3) defeats Eye Of Sashea in the second trial.
Racing for Abelino Rojas, the Azoom colt scampered over the 300 yards in :15.639 seconds for a 94 speed index. Saddled by Javier Noel Contreras, Zoomin Jazz posted a bullet work on February 12th at Louisiana Downs while training for his career debut.

Henry Brown bred the brown colt out the Corona Cartel mare Jazzy Corona. Adalberto Candanosa was aboard for the winning ride.

Mackie Racing LLC's Three Times Even held off Eye Of Sashea in the second trial to set the second best clocking. The Tr Dasher filly was purchased David and Susan Mackie after posting the fastest time for the unofficial Royal Shake Em Futurity in January. They scratched her from that final and turned her over to trainer Heath Taylor.

Ridden by Jarrod Deschamp, the gray miss completed the course in :15.800 a neck in front of Eye Of Sashea. The pair, however, were 2 ¼ lengths in front of the field.

Endless Ocean, a filly by former champion Ocean Runaway, scored a ½ length win in the seventh trial to clock the third best time of :15.813. She is also owned by Rojas, trained by Contreras and was ridden by Candanosa.

Other trial winner's that qualified included Sweetness Special, a filly by Eyesa Special, and Awe Contraire, a daughter of Corona Cartel.
