GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—NOVEMBER 28, 2020—Clyde Woerner's Texas' homebred Gone To Be Princess stepped into stakes action for the first time in her career Saturday to post a dominating win over Santa Juana Power in the $54,890 Lone Star 870 Battle of the Breeds Stakes.
Under jockey Alejandro Medina, Gone To Be Princess went to lead quickly off the outside rail then pulled away by three-quarters down the stretch to stop the timer in :46,386 seconds, equaling a 90 speed index over slopped sealed course for the 870 yards.
Trainer Bradley Bolen saddled the 7-year-old daughter of multiple stakes sire Gone To The Man to her eighth career win. The $32,934 winner's purse boosted her career bankroll to $85,023. In her last start, November 14th the sorrel mare posted a 2-¼ length win round the turn for a $7,500 tag.

Runner-up Santa Juana Power earned $10,978 for owner Jaime Martinez. Jose Carrizales conditions the 5-year-oldl son of Mr Oklahoma Express out of the. Ataka (TB) mare Powerofataka (TB). Luis Vivanco had the riding call aboard the Texas bred.
Jack Ketel, an 8-year-old son of champion Ketel Won, finished 1-¼ lengths back to earn $6,038 for third. Trainer Arnold Lewis named jockey Bobby Dow to ride the bay gelding for owner Diamond L Racing. Joe and Elaine McAnally bred the stakes winner in Texas from the Heza Fast Man mare Sheza Moon Bar Baby. Jack Ketel has earned $86,753.
Expect Royal, Eye Know The Secret, Aces Over Five, Beta Capo Song and Cat Daddie completed the field.
