OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 19, 2020—TF Hellrasing Cat showed age matters Wednesday, winning the only training race for 3-year-olds, taking the last 250-yard race in :13.698 seconds for a speed index of 72.

It was the final schooling race of the day and the gelded son of Highest Fire, out of the Streak Of Cash mare Cats Witchy Woman, was a single tick ahead of the previous fastest time of the day. All the other races were for 2-year-olds. American Quarter Horses raced in every event except the third and the sixth, which were for Paints and Appaloosas.

Guillermo Valdivia trains TF Hellrasing Cat for owner Darling Farms (Dan Darling, et.al.) of Lamont, Okla. Darling Farms also campaigned Hold Air Hostage, winner of six in a row as a 3-year-old in 2017, including three Grade 1 races in that streak – the Rainbow Derby and All American Derby at Ruidoso Downs in New Mexico and the Sooner State Stakes at Remington Park. Hold Air Hostage ran out a record of nine wins in 19 starts for $1,415,551 in earnings.

TF Hellrasing Cat won by a head over Big Big Love. Jockey Rolando Raudales persevered to get to the wire first on the winner.

A $16,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Tf Hellraising Cat is a half-brother to Firecracker Futurity(G2) winner Bigtime Cat. The second dam Black Cat Bone won the Black Gold 330 Futurity.
