SUNLAND PARK, NM—JANUARY 11, 2020—Jimmy Negrete and Jimmy Vasquez' homebred Cat Daddys Lil Girl raced to her second consecutive graded stakes victory Saturday when she defeated stablemate Woodys Copy Cat in the $$100,000 Lou Wooten and Sydney Valentini Handicap(RG2) at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.
Pressed early under jockey Mauro Salcedo, Cat Daddys Lil Girl drew away to win by three-quarters while completing the 400 yard course in :19.565 seconds with a 9 mph tailwind. Coming off a win in the New Mexico QH Fillies and Mares Championship(RG1) at Zia Park on December 1 in her last start, the Wooten winner's purse valued at $60,000 boosted the 4-year-old's earnings total to $305,062.
Cynthia Gonzalez conditions the gray daughter of leading New Mexico sire Big Daddy Cartel from the Man On The Move mare Girlonthego. Cat Daddys Lil Girl has compiled a (13) 6-3-1 record.

Double Eagle Ranch's homebred Djs Winner finished a neck back in third to earn $10,000. Toby Keeton saddled the 4-year-old Winners Version mare out of Salt N Sea (TB) by Gone Hollywood(TB). Jockey Noe Garcia, Jr. rode the bay filly to her first black-type finish in 12 starts. She has earned $64,660.
Sister Sophia, Chicks Baby Suds, Hollywoodcrown, Zee James, Tooflashforyou, First N Forever and Addy Ann Angel completed the field.
Except for opening day Thursday, Dec. 26, live racing at Sunland Park takes place on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday basis through Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Post time to start the season is 12:25 p.m. Nine races will be carded on weekdays. Ten races will be presented on Saturdays and Sundays.
