Gotta Lotta Papa Continues Win Streak as Fastest Qualifier to Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity

Gotta Lotta Papa Continues Win Streak as Fastest Qualifier to Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity

EVANSTON, WY – JULY 14, 2019 -The fastest qualifier from five trials to the Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity, Gotta Lotta Papa won his third consecutive race at Wyoming Downs on Sunday afternoon.

Jesus Valenzuela guided the Pappasito filly home in 16.891 for a 92 speed index in the 330-yard trial. She was a heavy favorite and a gate-to-wire winner in the fourth of five trials.

The $8,500-added Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity will be held on July 28.

Gotta Lotta Papa ($2.60) is trained by Riley Moosman, who also owns the filly with Kathy Moosman. She was bred by Bryce Moosman, out of Lotta Kat Moves, by Makinmoves. Lotta Kat Moves was a multiple stakes winner, including victories in the Utah Classic Futurity and Beehive Futurity in 2007.

Gotta Lotta Papa is also a stakes winner; she won the $64,900 Wyoming All Breeds Racing Association Futurity at Energy Downs in her previous start. The filly has now won three of her four career starts and has earned $25,915.

The second-place finisher in the same trial, Eyesa Special Snoopi, posted the second fastest overall time of 16.892.

Eyesa Special Snoopi was ridden by Oscar Cervantes for trainer Jesse Villegas and is owned and bred by Broken Bones Cattle Company. He is by Eyesa Special Slim and out of Lil Charolette Swirl, by Sixs Charlie Brown.

Eyesa Special Snoopi also qualified to the Wyoming All Breeds Racing Association Futurity; he broke his maiden with his trial win and finished fifth in the final.

Cervantes and Villegas teamed up on the third fastest qualifier, Reagal Eagle Revenge, with a time of 16.939. Reagal Eagle Revenge ($16.20) won the fifth and final trial as an upset winner over A Lucky Thunder Cat, who was the fifth qualifier.

Reagal Eagle Revenge broke his maiden in the trail win, his fourth career start. Gerald Kaul owns and bred the Reagal Eagle colt out of A Secret Life, by Beduino Secret.
