The third trial was expected to be the fastest trial of the day and did not disappoint, as Political Candyhouse extended his undefeated streak to three and posted the fastest qualifying time of 17.682 and a 99 speed index.

Political Candyhouse ($3.20) was one of five qualifiers from the Clinton Crawford barn and one of three ridden by Cody Smith. Political Candyhouse is owned and bred in Oklahoma by Pv Quarter Horse Farms LLC. The Apollitical Jess gelding is out of the multiple graded stakes winning mare Candy Cartel, by Corona Cartel.

Political Candyhouse was the only horse in the six trials with two previous wins and was also the only horse with a win at the trial distance of 350 yards.

The third trial also produced the second fastest qualifier, Left Town. Third-place finisher Sweet Wild Time and fourth-place finisher Southard Queen also cracked the top ten.

Left Town also hails from the Crawford barn; he and Josh Romero finished just a head behind Political Candyhouse to post a time of 17.709 and a 98 speed index.

Left Town is owned by Renee Wilson and was bred in California by Ed Allred, by Kiddy Up and out of the Pritzi Dash mare Kingman Sis. He had made three previous lifetime starts, all at Remington Park, including a third-place finish.

The third fastest qualifier, Royal Cash Flash, won the sixth and final trial of the day. The Crawford trainee was also ridden by Josh Romero, this time for owner and breeder Brenda Reiswig.

Royal Cash Flash ($3.40) defeated the field by three-quarters of a length with a final time of 17.833 and a speed index of 95. The Oklahoma-bred filly is by First Moonflash, out of the stakes winning mare Seis the Royal Cash, by Tres Seis.
