SHELBYVILLE, IN—JUNE 1, 2019—Tres My Heart and Edgar Diaz were dominant winners in the 17th running of the $49,040 Indiana Grand Classic Saturday, June 1. The race was part of the first all-Quarter Horse racing night for 2019 at Indiana Grand.

Tres My Heart had little issues getting out of the gate and had a clean start to be a factor from the beginning of the 400-yard sprint. The four-year-old daughter of Heart of the Cartel made it tough on the rest of the field from the start, maintaining a short lead the entire way before she extended her stride out for the win by one length at the wire in a time of :20.040 seconds.

Sweet 16 and L. Daniel Martinez finished second over Cant Paint This and Rodney Prescott for third.

The big powerful Tres My Heart is no stranger to Indiana Grand's winner's circle. She now has four wins over the track and added $26,000 to her already impressive bankroll of just under six figures. Owned by Jose Plascencia, she has only missed the board twice in her two-year-career.

She was unraced as a two-year-old and raced for the first time for trainer Claudio Barraza in the Indiana Grand Classic, which marked his second career stakes win. The young Barraza also won the same stakes race with A Tacky Chick in 2018.
