Trainer Sammy Valdivia, Jockey Juan Pulido Remain In Top Three In RP Standings After Vf Adreneline Rush Wins Feature OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 28, 2019—Trainer Sammy Valdivia and jockey Juan Pulido continued their excellent race meet this spring at Remington Park with a win in the feature race with 4-year-old gelding Vf Adreneline Rush.

Valdivia and Pulido remained in third place in their respective standings as they did what they were supposed to do in the 11th race – win with a heavy favorite at 3-2 odds. When the gates opened, Pulido shot out like a rocket and had a one-length lead on the field before anyone could blink an eye.

He ended up winning the 330-yard race for $35,000 optional claimers by 1-1/4 lengths. The conditions called for 3-year-olds-and-up that had not won four races in their lives or would they could run for a $35,000 claiming price.

Vf Adreneline Rush earned a 101 speed index with his victorious time of 16.454 seconds over a fast track, just a tenth of a second off the track record of Pure D Spit (16.323 on April 10, 2014).

Pulido won for the ninth time this meet, and is tied with Jorge Torres, who also won once Friday night. They are both seven wins behind leading rider James Flores, who has 16 victories. Valdivia’s trip to the winner’s circle was his 10th this spring and he is third, six wins behind leading trainer Eddie Willis, who has 16.

Vf Adreneline Rush races for owner Joel Rod Pierce of Sallisaw, Okla. The 4-year-old gelded son of Apollitical Jess from the Rebel Dasher mare Shawnies Dasher, earned $14,642 from the $24,700 purse. He ran his record to four wins from 16 starts and now has earned $57,993 lifetime. The gelding has two wins from six tries at Remington Park, both in his first two starts of 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was bred in Oklahoma by Victory Farms.

Vf Adreneline Rush paid $5 to win, $3.60 to place and $3 to show and beat runner-up Bluemoonteller (10-1 odds) by daylight and the second-place finisher was another head in front of Carris Cartel (11-1) in third.

Racing continues Saturday at Remington Park with 12 races beginning at 6 p.m.
