GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 25, 2018—It was a photo between the top two in the Grade 1, $57,725 Lone Star Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity.

When the race went official it was the post-time favorite and fastest qualifier Live Moonshine a head in front of Baileys and Rum. Final time for the 400-yard futurity was :19.926 seconds over a fast track earning a speed index of 92.

"I had no doubt that I won it," said winning jockey Cody Smith. "But after I galloped back and it still wasn't official it made me second guess everything." It took a bit longer to post the photo than usual, but Smith was right.

The Triple Crown races are, the Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Remington Park, the Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity run at Will Rogers Downs and the Lone Star Speedhorse P & A Futurity.

Speedhorse also awards a high point champion from the three races. Horses that compete in all three get points according to where they finish.
