PORTLAND, OR—OCTOBER 21, 2018—Trainer Hector Magallanes saddled five finalist to the Far West Futurity at Portland Meadows Sunday, however Cg Harrys Game from the barn of Scott Raley posted the fastest qualifying time.

Ridden by veteran jockey Robert Burney, Gc Harrys Game broke his maiden in the last of three trials by defeating Ima Five Bar Cartel by a neck, clocking a :18.050 time, a 94 speed index over the 350 yards.

Scott Raley conditions the son of multiple stakes sire Carters Cartel for owner Connie Chumbley. Bred by Gary Chumbley Estate, the Oregon-bred gelding is out of Ez Gamer by Game Plan. He was 3rd in the Firecracker Consolation at Grans Pants in his last start.

Ima Five Bar Cartel held on to the second fastest time of :18.085 seconds, a 93 speed index. The son of leading first-crop sire Five Bar Cartel was the fastest of five finalists trained by Hector Magallanes.

Tryn Espelien and Herman Torres own the California-bred gelding out of Miss Acclaimed by Streakin La Jolla. Second in the Futurity Consolation at Grants Pass, Ima Five Bar Cartel entered the trials off a maiden win September 30 at Portland.

Magallanes also saddled the 3rd, 4th, 7th and 9th qualifiers, including L Bar D Top Prospect, a neck winner in the first trial to get the fourth fastest time of :18.238 seconds.

Racing for owner Luis Torres, L Bar D Top Prospect broke his maiden from six starts this season under jockey Eduardo Gutierrez-Sosa. The son of three-time champion Prospect To The Top is out of the Ought To Be First mare Be First Rose.

Bred by F. Darrel and Linda M. Sanders, the Oregon-bred was third in the Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity in July.
