Freighttrain B Dominates Black Gold 350 Futurity Trials

CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 8, 2018—Multiple stakes sire Freighttrain B dominated 11 trials on Saturday for the $266,765 Black Gold 350 Futurity at Will Rogers Downs, siring three of the 10 qualifiers.

The son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon won the $348,659 Black Gold Futurity Championship(RG3) himself in 2010.

Cindys Easy Train kicked off the day in the second trial by posting a one-length win over fellow qualifier Charlies Fury to set the top qualifying mark of :17.689 seconds.

Ridden by jockey Jose Vega, for trainer Eddie D. Willis, the daughter of Freighttrain B registered her second win from five starts this season.

An Oklahoma homebred racing for owner Abel Flores, Cindys Easy Train broke her maiden at Remington Park in April. Out of the Scrutinzer mare Easydoesitcindy, the brown filly has earned $17,770.

Freighttrain B's other qualifiers were 7th fastest Freighttrain B Fast and 10th finalist Bullittrain.

Viva Le Don broke his maiden under jockey Randy Wilson in the fifth trial (race 6) to get the second fastest time of :17.744 seconds.

Coming off a fourth-place effort in the $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Stakes in his last start, the son of Rock Solid Jess races for owner Rocking J Running Horses and is conditioned by Tammy Johnson.

Johnson and Jack Manning bred the brown gelding in Texas from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Viva Arriba. He has earned $14,955 in four starts .

Fl Lady Bug Stakes winner Mary Janes Hero got her second win of the season in the fourth trial under jockey Jesus Salazar. Rodrigo Covarrubias trains the Valiant Hero filly for owner Jermaine Jackson.

Bred by Carol Smith, Mary Janes Hero won by one-length while clocking the third fastest time of :17.789 seconds. Out of the Fit To Fly mare Cr Isabella, the sorrel filly has banked nearly $50,000 this season.
