ROCK SPRINGS, WY—SEPTEMBER 8, 2018—A maiden no more, Sixs Pretty Boots picked up her first career win and first stakes win in the $7,000 Rock Springs Wyoming Bred Juvenile (not black-type) at Sweetwater on Saturday.

The 2-year-old filly, with Jesus Valenzuela up, posted a final time of :18.230 and earned a speed index of 75 in the 350-yard event.

Sixs Pretty Boots ($19.00) is trained by Jessie Villegas. She is bred and owned by Broken Bones Cattle Company, who bred the daughter of Come On Boots in Wyoming, out of Six Streakin Pretty, by First N Six.

Though she had competed in several trials, this was the filly’s first appearance in a stakes race. Her best previous effort was a second-place in finish in a trial in Gillette in June in her second career starts.

A full length separated the winner from the second-place finisher, One Weatherman. Rene Lopez had the call for Uriel Dominguez, Sr. and owners Raul and Luis Caballero.

One Weatherman was also making his first start in a stakes race, though he broke his maiden two races back at Wyoming Downs.

Raul and Luis Caballero also bred the gray gelding in Wyoming, by One Handsome Man and out of Weather Woman, by Foose.

One Weatherman was the second longest price on the board and managed to get a nose in front of the longest shot in the field, Cd Okie Dokie Proud, who finished third.

Zack Ziegler had the call on Cd Okie Dokie Proud for trainer David Greene. The 2-year-old filly is owned by Daniel and Carol Lee. She was bred by Amanda Chalberg, by Agouti Kid, by Agouti and out of Vashti Okey, by Okey Dokie Dale.

Cd Okie Dokie Proud broke her maiden in Evanston against open company before finishing seventh in the trial for the Rock Springs Wyoming Bred final.

Completing the field were Heza Mongoose, Jess One, Kay Cross Conman, Turfs Best Chick, Rg Double Trouble and Wyoming Dashette Go. Vvr Pull the Trigger was scratched.
