Silver Jet Dash Rallies To Win Elko Intermountain Futurity

ELKO, NV—SEPTEMBER 3, 2018—Fastest qualifier Silver Jet Dash rallied between rivals Monday to defeat Jr Dynasty Czech by a neck in the $37,000 Elko Intermountain Futurity on Monday at the Elko County Fair. Jr Tinkup was another neck back in a blanket finish to get third.

Ridden by jockey Pedro Gonzalez, Silver Jet Dash completed the 350 yards in :17.650 seconds, a 101 speed index over the fast racing surface. It was the fourth career win in eight starts for the son of multiple stakes sire Bodacious Dash. The $14,800 winners' purse boosted the gray colt's earnings total just past $39,000.

Owned-and-trained by Fredy Olmos, Silver Jet Dash was second in the Bitterroot Futurity and third in the Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity earlier this year. Irwin Wall bred Silver Jet Dash in Texas from the A Royal Jet mare Fancy Smoking Jet.

Stakes-placed Jr Dynasty Czech picked up $7,400 for his second-place effort. Riley Moosman conditions the son of second-crop sire Jr Dynasty Mountain for owner-breeder J R Stables. Jockey Leonardo Gonzalez was aboard the $20,613 Utah-bred earner from the Swingin Jess mare Jr Czech Swing.

Riley Moosman also trainer third-place finisher Jr Tinkup, a gelded son of First Prize Stone from the Foose mare Jr Dash Of Shania. The brown colt is also owned-and-bred by J R Stables. Jesus Valenzuela was aboard the 2018 Beehive Futurity winner. Jr Tinkup earned $3,700 to bring his bankroll to $41,043 this season.

Completing the field were Shesa Dashair, First Won Down, Sirshezaruanway, Classy At It Dude, Dk Frist Frost and Dust A Tac.
