7-1 Maiden, Everybuddys Talkin Wins $206,852 Shue Fly

SUNLAND PARK, NM—JANUARY 14, 2018—Under a capable ride by jockey Raul Herrera, maiden 3-year-old Everybuddys Talkin (7-1) blew away from the gate then increased her lead to get her first official win in Sunday's $206,853 46th running of the Shue Fly Stakes(RG2) at Sunland Park.

Daddys Blushing finished three-quarters back in second while Daddys Copy was half-a-length back in the show position.

Racing for owner Eric Pineda of Odessa, Texas, Everybuddys Talkin completed the 400 yards in :19.624 seconds, an 88 speed index, for the winners' payday worth $97,221.

Trainer Ricardo Armendariz saddled the daughter of multiple stakes sire Gonna Ro Sham Bo out of Kat Kora by The Trader's Echo (TB). The brown filly had unofficially broken her maiden for a $15,000 tag at Zia Park in September but was disqualified and placed second for drifting out late.

Everybuddys Talkin entered today's Shue Fly Stakes off a second-place effort in the December 22nd trials when she posted the third fastest qualifying time of :19.290 seconds.

Bred by Derrell Riggan, Everbuddy Talkin was a $7,000 repurchase in the 2016 New Mexico Bred Yearling Sale at Ruidoso Downs. She has compiled a (7) 1-5-0 record and banked $112,335.

Graded stakes winner Daddys Blushing ran an admirable race and fought hard to earn $37,233 for his second place effort. Jackie Riddle conditions the multiple stakes winning Big Daddy Cartel gelding for owner Gary Hartstack.

Bred by MJ Farms, the bay gelding won the Mountain Top Futurity(RG3) at Ruidoso Downs and the Sam Houston Juvenile Stakes last year. Francisco Calderon had the riding call aboard the $226,554 earner. Daddys Blushing is out of Sandy June Bug by Blushing Bug.

MJ Farms is also the owner-breeder of third-place finsiher Daddys Copy, Ridden by Omar Reyes and trained by Wesley T. Giles, the Big Daddy Cartel filly earned $22,754 for the effort. The brown filly is out of Fast Copy Miss by Heza Fast Man.

Everybuddys Talkin rewarded backers with $16.20 to win, $7 place and $3.80 to show. Daddys Blushing returned $4.60 and $3.40 and Daddys Copy paid $9.80 to show.

Flashin Cartel, First N Forever, Scooters Crown Jewel, Leftlane, Regard The Rose, Frangellica and Jesse Klee completed the field.
