MALAD, ID—AUGUST 13, 2017 —The three fastest qualifiers to the $28,400 Oneida County Futurity completed the trifecta in Sunday’s final, but it would be third-fastest qualifier Royallittlewagon ($5.60) with a neck in front for the win.

The post-time favorite has never been worse than second in her six career starts, including a second-place finish in the $30,000 Rocky Mountain Spring Classic Futurity this May at Pocatello. With the win in Sunday’s feature race at Oneida, Royallittlewagon is now four for six lifetime, with earnings of over $23,000.

Royallittlewagon is trained by Skyler Greene for owner and breeder Enrique R Rojo. The Idaho-bred daughter of Paintyourownwagon is out of Royal Lil Strike, by Royal Shake Em. Dallas Erickson was aboard for the stakes win, and pair covered the 300-yard race in 15.273, for a 101 speed index.

Fastest qualifier Juno Jess was the second-favorite on the board and finished second, a neck behind Royallittlewagon and half a length ahead of Toastdinero.

Juno Jess is trained by Ricardo Castillo for owner BNB Racing, Inc; jockey Franciso Linan had the call. Casey Humphrey bred the gelding in Texas, by Jess Zoomin, out of the Mr Eye Opener mare Junos Eye.

In addition to winning his trial, Juno Jess won his previous start, the $16,000 Roche Equine Futurity at Jerome in June. He is now three for six lifetime and has only missed the board once.

Second-fastest qualifier Toastdinero rounded out the trifecta with jockey Pedro Gonzalez for owner and trainer Omar Hernandez. Ron Bybee bred the Toast Your Dreams gelding in Oklahoma, out of Rare Jasmine, by Rare Bar.

Toastdinero made just his third lifetime start in Sunday’s Futurity; he broke his maiden in his debut at Retama Park in July.

Completing the field were Cm Once Ina Bluemoon, Over Drive Man, Countmywinns, Hr Captain Jack and Super Starr.
