Acadillac Dominates Wyoming Downs Futurity Final

EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 13, 2017—Flying off the outside rail, Acadillac defeated Bay Max by 1-˝ lengths to win the $24,100 Wyoming Downs Futurity Sunday afternoon at Wyoming Downs. Miss Hannah B finished a neck back in third.

Ridden by jockey Daniel Carillo, Acadillac completed the 350-yard course in :17.672 seconds, a 90-speed index into an 8-mph crosswind. Trainer Josh Taylor saddled the son of multiple stakes sire Azoom to his third consecutive win from five starts.

A Texas homebred racing for owner/breeder Jerry D. Chapman, Acadillac picked up $11,327 to increase his bankroll to $14,932. The sorrel gelding is out of Louisiana Cadillac by Jess Louisiana Blue.

Bay Max led earlier under jockey Jesus Virgen but settled for second to earn $4,338. Ryan Christensen trains the Dashair gelding for owner/breeder Casey Woolstenhulme. A Utah-bred, Bay Max is from the Thoroughbred mare Weekend Traffic by Olympio.

Third-place finisher Miss Hannah B races for owner/breeder Linda Burt and trainer Jessica Hadley. Jordan Hadley was aboard the Utah-bred Mighty Invictus filly out of Makndreams by Maknmoves. She earned $2,651.

Tiny Capitana, Ac Perfect Storm, Jess Gone Streaking, Mountain Vista, Midnights Wagon and Pour Me A Corona completed the field.
