Rg Miracle Romps To Victory in New Mexico Breeders' Futurity

FARMINGTON, NM—AUGUST 23, 2015—Shirley Grisham's Rg Miracle romped to a one-length win over Wood Be A Bullet in the $102,000 New Mexico Breeders' Futurity(RG2) at Sunray Park Sunday afternoon. Shes A Blazin Winner finished half-a-length back in the show position.

Ridden by jockey Isaias Cardenas, Rg Miracle completed the 350 yards in :17.313 seconds, a 93-speed index with no wind. The $47,940 winner's purse booted the gelded son of Hearts Miracle to earnings of more than $70,000 with a (6) 2-4-0 record this season.

Kenneth Grisham trains the Grisham Quarter Horses, Inc. homebred from the Mountain Metal (TB) mare Purple Ice (TB).

Hemerio Hernandez saddled Wood Be A Bullet for owner HWD Racing Stables. Alex Bautista rode the MJ Farms bred son of Woodbridge out of Bullet Bullion, by Bully Bullion. Wood Be A Bullet put in a game effort to pickup $18,360 and bring his earnings to $35,410.

Kenneth Grisham also saddled third place finisher Shes A Blazin Winner for owner/breeder Hubaldo Solis. The Winners Version filly is out of Shes So Blazin, by Chicks A Blazin. Ridden by jockey Alejandro Medellin, the bay filly earned $11,220 to double her earnings total to $20,145.

Princess Jesse, My Mojito, Rapid James, Winners Rule, Chickaloni, A Blazin Flash and Wr Jessie completed the field.
