AJAX, ONT—AUGUST 2, 2015—In his first career start Speedocracy got off to a slow start after getting bumped but rallied under jockey Cassandra Jeschke to defeat Hal Bent by a neck in the last of three trials contested Sunday at Ajax Downs for the Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity. His :17.200 clocking, for the 300 yards, set the bar as the top qualifying spot from the 20 head who participated in Sunday's trials.
The 10 fastest will return to Ajax Downs on Sunday, August 23 and vie for the winner's share of a $55,000-added purse going 330 yards.
Racing for George Coleman and trained by Scott Reid, Speedocracy is by former Canadian champion All About Speed from the Hotdoggin mare Hotdoggin Baby Doll. Katie Browne is the breeder.
Daytona 500 was an impressive one-length winner second trial to post the third fastest time of :17.510. Also making her first start, the Its All About Speed filly races for owner/breeder Ivy Lane Racing and is conditioned by trainer Renee Wilson. Cassandra Jeschke also had the riding call.
