SUNLAND PARK, NM—MARCH 1, 2015—Reining AQHA Racing Champion Aged Stallion Jesscuzican flew late to catch Jess Featureme Quick by a nose Sunday afternoon in the Grade 3 $108,300 West Texas Maturity at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino.

Ridden by jockey Larry Gamez, Jesscuzican completed the 400 yards in :19.248 seconds to pocket the winner's purse valued at $50,901. Wesley Giles conditions the 6-year-old son of leading sire Feature Mr Jess for owner/breeder Darian Burt.

A Utah bred from the Stoli mare Covenant Confirmer, Jesscuzican's record stands at (22) 6-5-1 with $231,454 in earnings.

Also a stakes winning son of Feature Mr Jess, Jess Featureme Quick races for owner/breeder Melissa Miller and trainer Paul C. Jones. Joe Badilla, Jr. had the riding call and picked up $19,394 to bring the gelding's earnings total to $604,258.

Alberto Villanueva's Go And Get, a 4-year-old son of champion Foose, finished a neck back in third. Ramon Rivera trains with Bonifacio Quiroz riding. Edward C. Allred bred Go And Get in California from the First Down Dash mare First And Proud. Go And Get has earned over $115,000.

The Devils Rainbow, Taleas Pride, Foose Cash Sr, Famous Edge Of Glory, Mr Corona Cartel, Rocket And Roll and Zoomin Away completed the field.
