First Crop Sire Freighttrain B Sires Top Training Time at Remington Park Wednesday
Training races continued this week at Remington Park in anticipation of the March 6 Quarter Horse & Mixed Breed season opener.

First Crop Sire Freighttrain B Sires Top Training Time at Remington Park Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 25, 2015—Bella Vista Farms, LLC's homebred Bv Midnite Express posted the top schooling race time Wednesday as Remington Park hosted 12 more races for two-year-olds.

Bv Midnite Express hopped at the start recovered quickly for the lead then pulled away to an easy 1¼ lengths win over Mo Valiant in Race 4. Eddie L. Willis conditions the gelding by first crop sire Freighttrain B, a multiple stakes winning son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon. He completed the 250 yard course in a :13.42 clocking to earn the day's top mark.

The Bella Vista Farms homebred is out of Ms Tres Seis, a multiple stakes producing daughter of Tres Seis.

In the next race (5), Streakin Pr made a nice outside move to be clear of the field before finishing 1¼ lengths on top under a hand ride for trainer Kasey Willis. Tom Scheckle purchased the Corona Cartel colt for $22,000 from the Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent for Pine Ridge Farm, LLC at the September Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Streakin Pr is out of the G2-placed Streakin La Jolla mare Bonnie Streakin. He is a brother to RG1-placed Too Tiny To Quit ($159,086). He clocked the 250 yards in :13.46 seconds.

In Race 7 Woop Dee Do broke in at the start, straightened out and took the lead under a couple of taps from the rider before impressing with a 3¼ length win in :13.50 seconds for the third fastest time on Wednesday. Also a Heritage Place September Yearling, Woop Dee Doo is by first crop sire Good Reason SA out of Jess Racy Eyes, by Mr Jess Perry.

Ricardo Martinez purchased Woop Dee Do for $16,000 from the Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent for John Andreini and Vince Genco. He is half brother to Oklahoma Futurity(G2) winner Fetching Beauty ($135,000) from the family of champion Miss Racy Jess ($485,113).

Cotacachi, an Ivory James homebred for Bobby D. Cox, put in a strong rally after a slow start to pull clear by a length in Race 6. The John Buchanan trainee stopped the timer with the fourth fastest time of : 13.56 seconds. Originally consigned to the Heritage Place September Sale, Cotacachi was listed as an out.

He is out of the stakes winning Runaway Winner mare No Fees ($166,320), a multiple stakes producer from the family of Champion Brimmerton ($519,538).

The 2015 Remington Park Quarter Horse & Mixed Breed season opens on Friday, March 6 and runs through Saturday, May 30. Post times for the Opening Weekend of the season are 6pm on Friday, March 6; 5pm on Saturday, March 7; and 1:30pm on Sunday, March 8.
