POCATELLO, ID—MAY 19, 2013—Susan Hanson and Carol McKinney's Sign Of Corona recovered from a bumpy start to defeat Steffieclassic Dash by a neck in the $26,000 Rocky Mountain Spring Classic QH Futurity at Pocatello Downs Sunday afternoon.
Under jockey Dirk Crane the bay gelding raced over the 330 yards in a quick :17.067 seconds to earn a 95 speed index and pickup the $10,400 winner's purse. It was the first career win for the Mark Hanson trained gelding by first crop sire Coronas Fast Dash.
