SOUTH JORDAN, UT—MAY 18, 2013—Fastest qualifier Jr Czech Swing returned to Laurel Brown Racetrack on Saturday afternoon to win the $51,725 Beehive Futurity by a nose in a blanket finish. Champagnediamond finished a nose ahead of Bf Lanes Last Move who was a head in front of Bf Storm Chaser.
Under jockey Jesus Canales the brown filly held on over a heavy track while recording a time of :15.477 seconds for the 330 yards. Ron Moosman saddled the Nevada homebred for owner's Robert Hosier and Jay Bingham. She earned $18,100 for the effort.

First crop sire Winners Version got his first official stakes horse when Champagnediamond finished second for owner/breeder Amber Spencer. Cameron Colledge had the riding assignment for trainer Chancey Spencer. Bred in Utah from the Calyx mare Calyx Femme, Champagnediamond earned $7,757 for her effort.
Moosman also saddled Birrell Farms Bf Lanes Last Moves to her third place finish under jockey Jesus Valenzuela. The Mankmoves filly from the Lanes Leinster mare Bf Lanes Game picked up $5,171.
Completing the field were Bf Storm Chaser, Winners Makesasplash, Joe Legacy, Winneroftheaqua, Winnersfame, Lanes Memory and Hollan Henry.
Hot Coco Surprises In South Valley Swett Ranch Futurity
Hot Coco, who qualified 11th to the $18,427 South Valley Swett Ranch Futurity, ended up winning the race on Saturday. Fastest qualifier Lilbittybigjon was scratched from the race following a positive lab report after the April 27 trials, thus moving the Winning Awards filly onto the also eligible list.

Second fastest qualifier JS Romeo finished a neck back in second, earning $2,764 for owner/trainer Patricio Venzor. Bell and Lentschke bred the Jesses Sixes colt from the Strawfly Special mare Limbo. Miguel Suarez had the riding call.
Brent Howa's homebred Jess So Sassy finished a neck off the leaders for the show position, earning $1,842. Ryan Sanchez was aboard the Dashing Jess Perry filly for trainer Chad Giles. She is out of the Dash Ta Fame mare Bc Sassy Dash.
Completing the order of finish were Brook N Diamond, Switching Ways, Boy Wonder, Rfrgimmedomination, Dashing Splashtocash and Pools Magic. Coleorado Kidd did not finish the race.
Bf Pieces Of April Laurel Brown Open Derby
After squeaking into the finals with the final qualifying spot, Bf Pieces Of April returned on Saturday to easily win the Laurel Brown Open Derby by half-a-length over fastest qualifier Lazy First Morn. Ron Moosman trained both horses.
Jesus Canales rode Bf Pieces April to a :17.724 clocking over 350 years on a slopping track. The $3,928 winner's purse boosted the First Prize Perry filly's earnings mare to more than $6,000.
The homebred racing for Birrell Farms and Lynn Tatar is out of Bf April Shower, by Okey Dokey Dale.
Lazy First Morn, by First Down Morn out of Ls Lazy Money by Dash To Chivato, earned $1.683 for second. The bay gelding races for his breeder Lee Sorensen. Uriel Dominguez had the riding call.
My Fair Dashair finished another half back in the show position for owner/breeder Kapp Investment and Luis Olivas. Orland Olivas saddled the Dashair filly out of Ditto Dotti, by Stawflyin Buds. Jesus Valenzuela was aboard earning $1,122 for the effort.
Yellin Ellen, Fly N Bye, Up For Adventure, Red Sum Beach, Lanes Legend, Eagle Nation and Kcs Lost Corona completed the field.
Devilyn Returns To Win Maiden Frolic
Fastest qualifier Devilyn returned Saturday to win the $15,178 Maiden Frolic by half-a-length over Streakin Stinson. Perrys Grandson finished another half-a-length back in third.
Daniel Carrillo rode Devilyn to an :18.117 final time over the 350 yards on a sloppy racetrack. The Check Him Out filly earned $5,312 for owner/trainer Pedro Linan. J. Pitcher and R. Gutke bred the sorrel miss in Utah from the Special Leader mare Little Brian Wave.
Streakin Stinson earned $2,276 for owner Tracy Milne. Alvaro Torres conditions the Eddie Stinson gelding out of Streakin Dot Dash by Streakin Dash. Kapp Investment Company, LLC is the breeder.
Perrys Grandson, owned-trained and bred by Rigoberto Tovar, picked up $1,517 for his third place effort. Jesus Virgen rode the Dashing Jess Perry Utah bred. The gelding is out of Eyesa Lady by Eyesa Special.
Completing the field were Leadersbulldoger, Hella Gorgeous, Dashin To Shine, El Ray Buccaneer, Rm Ivory Lane and Slim Shady Cash. Scrutin Annie was scratched. Dashin To Shine was moved from the also eligible list after qualifier Modelo De Corona was scratched for illegal medication use.
