IDAHO FALLS, ID—AUGUST 25, 2012—Larryville was an impressive one-length winner to set the top qualifying time Saturday night for the Hawthorne Futurity at Sandy Downs. The 10 fastest qualifiers from the five trial races will return to the Idaho raceway on September 9 and vie for the winner's share of a $40,000-estimated purse.
While Dan Moon's Larryville was the most impressive winner of the night, all eyes were on Alltheshine as she posted a hard fought neck victory, her fifth straight, in the fourth trial.
Racing for Movin On, the First To Shine filly has gone undefeated this year with wins that included the Gem County Futurity and the Dutch Masters III Futurity. If she can win the Hawthorne Futurity on September 9th, she will have completed the Dutch Masters III Triple Crown series and will be eligible for a $25,000 bonus.
Under her regular rider Dallas Erickson, Alltheshine completed the 350 yards in :18.010 seconds for he second fastest time. Guy Weeks conditions the Louisiana bred filly out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Menoalamo. Grant Farms, LLC is the breeder. The sorrel miss has earned $18,699 this season.
Bret Vickery trains Larryville for Dan Moon. Under the capable Paul Greene, the Stel Corona gelding got his second win in as many starts while being the only trial starter to break the 18 second mark with a :17.867 time over the 350 yards. Steve D. Burns, DVM bred Larryville in California from the Chicks Beduino mare Ynot Bar.
