The AQHA Racing Challenge deadline to enroll closes December 31, 2023.

AMARILLO, TX–DECEMBER 29, 2023–There is opportunity for every horse in the AQHA Racing Challenge, and the deadline to enroll closes December 31.

After that date, rates to enroll horses will increase, because the enrollment fee is based on the age of the horse at the time of enrollment.

The AQHA Racing Challenge in 2024 will offer regional stakes in the AQHA Racing Championship division (440 yards, 3-year-olds and up), Adequan® Derby division (400 yards, 3-year-olds), John Deere Juvenile (350 yards, 2-year-olds), Cox Ranch Distaff (400 yards, 3-year-olds and up fillies and mares) and Lip Chip LLC Distance (870 yards, 3-year-olds and up).

The year’s regional stakes races will open in February, with the first nomination payments due in January.

On October 26, the 2024 AQHA Racing Challenge Championships will return to The Downs at Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for a three-year run.

Enrollment in the AQHA Racing Challenge is good for the lifetime of the horse. The program was founded to provide more racing opportunity for American Quarter Horses, and since its inception has distributed more than $100 million to breeders and owners of American Quarter Horses.
