LQHBA To Award Three $2,000 Scholarships on Mardi Gras Futurity Day at Louisiana Downs

BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 22, 2024–Three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded on Saturday, March 30, at Louisiana Downs. 

The Bossier City racetrack will also host the richest Mardi Gras Futurity(RG2) and the richest Louisiana Downs Futurity(G2) on that day!  First post is 1:00 pm (CDT).

Louisiana Downs matched LQHBA to increase the three scholarships to $2,000 each. They will be awarded though a live drawing to be held in the racetrack's winner circle following the 4th race on Saturday, March 30.

Applicants must registered in person beginning at 11 am (CDT) on Saturday, March 30, at the LQHBA Scholarship registration table located at the foot of the escalator on the casino level.  Registration will close promptly after the third race.  Entrants must be present to win.

While the primary goal of the LQHBA is to promote breeding and racing in the state, the association remains dedicated to furthering higher education for Louisiana youth. Since its inception in 2001, the LQHBA scholarship program provided more than $800,000 for Louisiana students.
