Ls Jacks Back Scores Second Stakes of Remington Meet In Saturday's Bob Moore Memorial

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–APRIL 27, 2024–Ls Jacks Back, winner of the Mighty Deck Three Stakes last month, was a neck winner on Saturday in the Grade 2 $48,000 Bob Moore Memorial Stakes at Remington Park.

Under jockey Ali Rivera, the post-time favorite Ls Jacks Back covered 300 yards in :15.467 seconds, equaling a 91-speed index into a 24 mph headwind. It was the sixth career win in 27 starts for the son of former leading sire Corona Cartel

The $28,692 Bob Moore winner's purse boosted the 5-year-old's earnings to $270,319. He was also a close fourth in the Grade 2 Mr Jet Moore Stakes in his last April 6.

Trainer John Stinebaugh saddled the Oklahoma-bred winner for owner LS Racing, Inc. D. Bowen, S. Taylor and J. Smith Farms bred the multiple stakes winner for the champion Desirio mare Pj Chick In Black.

Multiple stakes winner Dickey Bob rallied from the outside post, under jockey Edwin Escobedo, to collect $7,964 for second. Jason Olmstead trains the 9-year-old Minnesota homebred son of leading sire Apollitical Jess for owner-breeder Lunderborg LLC. Out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Or More, Dickey Boy has banked $470,500 off 28 wins in 60 career starts.

Facing older horses for the time in his career, Los Alamitos 2 Million Juvenile winner Politiko finished a head back in the blanket finish to earn $4,380 for third. Trainer Eddie D. Willis conditions the Favorite Cartel 3-year-old, out of Apolitical Pac by Apollitical Jess, for owner Edward B. Melzer Revocable Trust. AQHA Racing champion breeder Bobby D. Cox bred the gray colt in Texas. ridden by jockey Justine Klaiber, Politiko has five wins in 10 starts with $98,249 in earnings.

Otts Boy, Rgs Gold Wagon, Tyger King, and Pulgarcitos Moonin completed the field.

The remainder of the racing program for Saturday, April 27 after race 6 was cancelled due to severe weather. Live racing is scheduled to resume on Sunday, April 28. The first race starts at 4 p.m.
