OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 2, 2024–Six aged runners, led by early favorites Konnan Cartel and A Tres Of Eagle, are entered in Saturday's 400-yard, $60,000 Leo Stakes (G1) at Remington Park.

A multiple graded stakes winning son of Five Bar Cartel, Konnan Cartel made his 4-year-old season debut with a 1 1/4-length victory in the March 16, 350-yard Eastex Stakes (G2), his first career start at Remington Park. Juan Diaz trains the homebred brown gelding for owner Dania Castellanos.

Konnan Cartel drew post 3 and will be ridden by Manuel Gutierrez.

A Tres Of Eagle is a son of One Fabulous Eagle who made his 5-year-old season debut with a neck win in the April 7, 440-yard Bank of America Remington Championship Challenge (G2). Trained by Eddie Lee Willis for owner Bella Vista Farms, the bay gelding was coming off of a 2023 campaign during which he earned $373,187 from eight races and ran third, one length behind winner Flash Bak, in the sport's richest and most prestigious race for aged runners, the December 9, $750,000 Champion of Champions (G1) at Los Alamitos.

A Tres Of Eagle drew the rail post and will be ridden by Jhaciel Soto

Also on Saturday, eight distance specialists are entered in the 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes (G2).

Kelly Yother Equine's O Donovan Rossa has banked $19,967 from two outs during the current Remington Park meet, and he's coming off of a wire-to-wire, 1 1/2-length victory in the 870-yard, $30,000 Lip Chip Remington Distance Challenge (G2)
